i have a b18c1 and am going to get a b16 tranny, i wanted the itr one with lsd but its like $600 more than the b16 w/out lsd. so what i want to know is is the lsd worth it? i only care about the track will the lsd help me hook up to the track better and if so how much better? am i gonna get better 60'ft times or what?

600 bucks will almost get you a Quaife.

Let's put it this way... I wish I had put an LSD in when I had my tranny out for a clutch job. It'll definitely improve handling.

It's definitely worth having.

You might consider buying a B16 tranny and adding an ITR lsd to it. This can often come out a couple hundred cheaper if you can do the work yourself. ITR lsd's run $3-400 but then you usually need to buy new bearings for it.

Another option is a tranny with an aftermarket lsd pre-installed. They seem to depreciate heavily, often making them a better deal than the ITR transmission.

what do you think my gsr trannies worth? cause this place im getting the b16 tranny is trading me trannies plus giving me $200 but he also gots an itr lsd b16 tranny so how much money do you think i should give him along with my gsr tranny for the itr?

I highly recommend a lsd but not stock, get a Quaife. I just got one and I did 1.7s 60ft. times with slicks, this might not be impressive to most people, but I haven't been to the track in 8 years and I can drive for ****.

I'd say the Quaife is a little better than the stock ITR LSD, but not by too much. I have an ITR tranny, and am pretty impressed with it. If you can get one at a good price I would look into it.

the reason im asking is i have a couple LS trannies laying around and before i break my type R tranny id rather put a LSD in on of the LS trannies and Quaife looks like my only option.
