Honda Motor inside a Dragster chassis???
I was talking to a old mechanic and he asked me if i ever heard of a Honda motor into a dragster chassis. He drew it out like the transverse engine/trans in the rear but like in a dragster with the engine trans at the with rear tires. and the front was like a drag car chassis car. Or a Honda engine inside a VW dragster Chassis.
This idea did anyone ever did that thing i was curious and i was looking for pictures and cars online with a Honda motor.
i cannot find any pics or sum projects online?

Re: Honda Motor inside a Dragster chassis???
norwoods car is an acura body thats about as close to a honda it will get.
i was going to say about the b series needing a reverse rotation trans or a rear that will allow the tires to spin the other way.
usually the engine spins cw and a b spins ccw.
the k on the other hand, spins cw also. so its all good!
google gforce prelude.

Don Nase had the Ecotec powered dragster for a few years, so a K series version would be just as doable no doubt about it. Put the **** similar to T1 or Millers car on there with a bigger turbo and youll probably even be faster than the ecotec one was. **** has changed a lot since that dragster has been put up that could definitely allow it to be a 5 second dragster now.

Wasn't that the one with the Trailblazer inline 6 with a supercharger and twin turbos a few years ago? If so, I was wondering what happened to that car. Has it made any passes? Any plans on racing in Competition Eliminator I/Dragster?

Yea that's the one. All that got scrapped after i believe they had a huge list of problems come up with it. its k24 powered with a powerglide. It made 500+ on 16ish lbs last fall and ended up breaking the following day at the track. Don't see Kyle to much, when I do I don't talk to him. Hes got a big head

VW Paradise took the Pauter engine out of one of their chassis, and put a K in it ;-)

the import dragster thing is cooler than hell, ill admit. but it seems like a LOT of money for something that doesnt even have a class that it can participate in.

And thats what people said when they saw a wheelie bar on a fwd car. Now look. If a handful of people build them, people will come.

you can race that at NHRA events. A class at sport compact events would need to have good sponsor backing for payouts worth the attendance for the people that would be so spread out building them.

I'm pretty sure they figured it out by now. I also know its a decent size K because the block has no water jacket.

They have been running it for a while now. Last thing I remember they were having intake manifold problems. They were having nasty backfire issues that were blowing up the manifold they were running.
