Who has looked at their fuel pump after using FTW? Both flow through (Bosch 044) and mechanical pumps (Weldon 2345A)....
Any notes that could be discussed? Just trying to understand how to maintain the fuel system with this stuff....

On a local mustang forum was a post recently about the Shell URT... with some results. Great read for those who mentioned it.

Re: FTW, c16, q16, e85, let's talk fuel
A couple weeks ago, I wanted to switch fuels and the guys at DP and our tuner Felix Medina said that was fine. I decided I wanted to go ethanol and try out straight e98 and VP C85. I wanted to see how much of a difference it would make.
All of this year, I've been on VP Import and was happy with the results. I changed my fuel pump to support the base pressure for ethanol (from dual bosch 044 pump to weldon) and give it a shot.
We went to the dyno back in early September to do a back to back testing. First, we tuned the car on VP Import at 15psi. Drained the tank and switched fuel to e98. Felix made some adjustment for ethanol and targeted the boost at 15psi and made one pass on e98. Drained the tank then went to VP C85. Made one pass without making any adjustments on the map from the e98. Below is the dyno graph. Let's just say, I'm very happy with the new found power on VP C85! All three passes was at 15psi

Doing direct fuel swaps without tuning for each doesn't seem like a great comparison, no?
I've done import and e98 back to back on a few occasions and seen a consistent 8-10% gain. Pretty odd you're only seeing 3% gain with a fuel that's ~35% oxygen.

Don't bother, they know it all. Try and have a real technical discussion with them and you are a hater. Do you realize that you are talking to the self proclaimed sfwd kings?

The change in fuel was my decision. Yes it was back to back and we just wanted to see what it did and we were impressed with the gains. We made several more pulls on C85 and Felix did some more adjustments. We saw some great results at higher boost levels compared to my previous fuel (C85)
We didn’t tune for the e98. Felix made some adjustment for ethanol and made a low boost pass. That was it. I’m sure if he played with it more, it would have seen more gains.

Gotcha. I think many glancing at that dyno sheet took it at face value without understanding that.

Re: FTW, c16, q16, e85, let's talk fuel
Heres how I see the whole fuel thing and people can take this for what its worth or disregard it. At the moment it seems that people treat fuel the same way they treat who they support (read nutswing) If x person uses it and says its good then they are all about it. I have seen a lot of people hate on the FTW fuel and a lot of people praise it and my theory is that the people hating on it are simply doing so because they are also the ones hating on miller which is petty and unfortunate. I personally would love to try the fuel out but the price tag is out of my range considering that at this time our car is not setup to be a top contender in a major heads up class. That said people I have spoken to who have run the FTW fuel have nothing but good things to say about it and Im sure should I ever be in the position to run it where I needed that extra edge Im sure I would feel the same way. For now I am very happy and comfortable on C16 it may have its limits but I make good power on it and its very easy to get and I have the most experience with it. Sorry for the long read but Im bored at work so I figured Id share my 2c

I made the which to VP C85 2 weeks ago. I dont know what it makes on the dyno because I did the tune in my driveway..... Picked up 6MPH on the same boost as the week before. No other changes.

You know more people would not hate your guts and maybe believe in your product more if you didn't act like a complete douchebag every time you open your mouth. I wouldn't use any of your products or services if my life depended on it just from the way you present yourself here.

It's been done a million times on pump 93. But if you have the money to buy this crazy expensive ftw e85 then just upgrade your injectors. And then just run pump e85. Your going for 550whp not 1300whp so you don't need jet fuel
