Finally I made it to the 10's. Stock Block K motor
Took my car to PBIR for the NSCRA free event on 10/18/09 to see what it would throw down....
The slips.
Best time in case you cant see the pics...10.2@143mph
The better quality vids.. 10.3@142 & 10.3@141

Crappy Vids....
You can hear it fall out of boost when I shift into 3rd and it falls on it's face but picks back up.
All races were done launching in 2nd gear at 6500 rpm, building 10psi off the line
Setup consists of..
Stock Block A2 Stock rods, Stock pistons
Type S tranny
IPS KT1 cams
T3/T67 @20psi
Precision 1000cc injectors
Comp Clutch Twin Disc
Pump Gas.. 93 Octane from Chevron with Techron
Walbro 255 intank....
24.5x9 M/T on 13" Bogarts at 6psi
I would like to thank the TD Autowerkes and HPC crew for allowing me to use some of their tools and for their support. This is my daily I just drove down from Orlando for the event.
I drove the car down there from Orlando Friday, Drove it to Fort Myers on Saturday, and drove it back Sat evening, and drove it up to Moroso and ran it and drove it back home....
I did shatter my 4th gear on the Dyno though at the track being greedy trying to make some more power to break 9's.... lol.. Sh*t breaks.. Oh well.... Comes with the territory.... She still starts & drives....

THAT's what I like to see.
Interested to see the timing in this thing at that pressure on 93oct pump fuel.
How often do you drive the car?

Well the first gear launches were really just resulting in spinning in 1st and 2nd, 1.8x 60ft's, and then I had 2 runs where it just didn't go into 2nd right away. Running mid, mid to low 11's. So someone said.. "Try second".. I did it and it went 11.0 on the first pass.. Right then I decided to just stick with 2nd gear launch. Less time spent shifting, less spinning, and IMO a better E.T.
Minimum of twice a week..... Local races here in town, weekends, track as often as I can, 1 trip to Jacksonville(500 miles round trip), It's my 3rd trip to Ft. Lauderdale(500 miles round trip each time), took it to Miami(bout 80 miles round trip), West Florida(Fort Myers... bout 250 miles round trip.).. I drive the car damn near everywhere..... Actually I JUST got back up to Orlando with it now. Runs like a dream on the highway and local streets....
Yeah it is... I dont want to put a JDM front end on because I would only end up wasting the bumper from cutting it up. That hood is only on there to help with the valve cover and Intake manifold clearance issues.
Nice pic 88ED8... Clear as day...

what does your 2nd gear go up to speed wise, Im debating whether or not when i go back out with my Sentra to launch in 2nd gear or keep with first now that i will have the twin disk to hold. Last time i tried 2nd gear launches it resulted in just burning my ACT clutch up. So i stuck with first and did well. But i will be making more power next time out. If i go with the longer geared gearstack in this new trans i think 1st gear will still be fine to launch in, If i keep the gearstack thats in it, Im almost thinking 2nd gear might be worth the shot if i can make enough power off the line.
Not sure yet though, Might just stick with 1st gear unless it just has major traction problems.

Cams doing some work! Nice driving too! Well done! Get that tranny fixed (drop and LSD in there) and get some 9's.
BTW how much power did you say it was making?

Thanks....
2nd gear takes me to about 67mph or so.....
Yeah the cams are putting their work in.. Thanks alot for them man.... I already have a Quaife in there now. Car is making 520hp at 20psi on a Dynojet.. Not sure of the tq since it wasn't working on the dyno..
