Different sound from 2 step ?
why is that some 2 step sounds different. ie cuhna on the 2 step sound like a top fuel dragster @ idle and Titan motorsports on the 2 step sounds like when you hit rev limiter?

with my 2 step at launch it sounds like rev limiter but at redline it just sets at 7000 rpm because i have my uber redline set at 8500 rpm. so maybe they have something like that set-up

Depends on the cam too, if I set my 2 Step under VTEC it sounds a lot weaker than when it is set just 400RPMs above in VTEC.

Re: Different sound from 2 step ? (.y2a.)
the biggest difference in sound is caused by how much rpm the motor drops and then restarts if it drops 500 rpm at the 2 step and comes back up it makes alot different sound then when it only drops 200rpm,

I think the coolest sounding 2-step was Chris Rado's on the "Ghetto-Glider". That thing was nasty, flames and all. I remember shooting event coverage and feeling pressure against my chest while he was on the staging line. Tres cool.
Garys sounded cool as well. Every engine sounds different as stated in previous posts due to modifications and tuning. My S13 sounds "different" on a 2-step.

Is there a way to build more boost when you dont have a separate fuel and timing map for the 2 step????
I can only build like 1 psi on my B16 stock bore @ 5K rpm.

Nope, antilagging is the only way to build boost on launches. Some 2 steps can build small amounts of boost but nothing close to antilag.

Well all I used was a MSD 3step rev limiter and messed with timing. Was able to make well over 10lbs, all I needed on 26's!!! Shot flames and popped your eardrums........ Retard timing = more boost

If you pull timing the in the map just make sure it doesn't ever pass back through that section down the run. We've done that before, lol!

You are absolutely correct. But I never saw 10psi at 7000rpm thorughout the run. At that point your usually over 30psi
