Default radiators

im having issues with expanding my radiator. im running straight water and using factory resivoir im looking to either build one or get a good one already been through a koyo so im thinking maybe griffin, c&r or fluidyne i want a very heavy duty one or ill end up building one give me some opinions

I've expanded a couple, never figured out why, because at the time I was not having cooling issues. maybe its because of a cheap quality core. try and get one of T1's custom design, cost an arm but its a good investment imo.

Sounds like a head issue and the motor is pushing coolant & pressure into the radiator causing it to expand.

expand? i would think the cap would blow or leak bad before the radiator blew out. I have a beat the **** up old fluidyne im still using LOL.

I'd look into figuring out why it's pressurizing like that before spending the money on an expensive radiator. Chances are if it's ruining any radiator, it will do the same to a $300+ radiator just the same. By the way, c&r is in Mooresville, if you take that route.

I had the same issue, blew the upper radiator hose, than the lower radiator hose. Got Samco hoses, and the core started to expand. Never looked into it further, or figured out the cause because I dropped a valve at the track.

I use a Griffin radiator core 10x10x3.5". i also have a pressure sensor to monitor any issues with the system!

i just had the same thing happend to me on the dyno,blew the upper hose after we hit 887hp. the radiator had alot of pressure..im looking in to changing the headgasket now..mishimoto rad here seemed to hold up but the hose just couldnt hang..lol..

I did it with 435hp lol, guessing bad headgasket or possibly cracked sleeve. ya win some, ya lose some.

I made my own and temp is at 180 degree I use a garret core intercooler 12x12 x3.5

Mishimoto here. Blew 1 up, but that was a motor failure that caused it.
