09 Canadian SFWD Build
As most of you have heard, I decided to build a new car for this race season. I picked myself up a 95 Honda Civic SI, in decent shape for a good buck. I then decided that I would pull the power plant from the 93 del Sol that I had raced last year. I knew if I did few upgrades I'd have a good build.
So the only thing that stuck with the new car was the Block/Head my Drive Shaft Shop race axles/hubs. Here is the car when I picked it up.
Then came time to gut it to send the roll cage to Rob Tangeman (Who I'd love to thank over and over again for his fast and amazing cage building!)
Next step was to pull the running motor/turbo setup from the del sol that I had ran last year. Then the next step was best. I took off to Las Vegas for a week for NHRA Nationals. I'll tell ya, seeing Top Fuel car's run high 3's sure make for a fantastic vacation. Got back and picked up the cage from Rob, I was very very pleased! He also mounted my new seat for me.

Re: 09 Canadian SFWD Build
After I got the cage back, I didn't waist anytime and I ripped the d16 from the civic, and quickly swapped it straight into the del sol. Before the engine was to be put into the civic, I had sent my trans gears down to RacerSteve (from hondatech), I had great turn around on the gears, and I'm looking forward to not breaking them) Then it was time to put the power plant into the civic.
I put the dash back in, had to hack it apart a bit more then I would have liked, but atleast it's in there.
Here is how she currently sits, I mounted the slicks to see how they'd look and how much I could lower it.
I'd like to send a HUGE thank you to my Sponsors :
Performance Plus : www.performanceplus.com
Peak Boost : www.peakboost.net
I'll update more once I get a chance. I'll take some pictures of the new turbo, and wastegates since they are yet to be installed. Waiting on a few parts still, hoping to have everything going for May 23/24 (Test & Tune, and Opening race day)

Re: 09 Canadian SFWD Build
New parts showed today, MSD Dizzy, external coil, wires.
Manifold should be here shortly, and she'll be good for start up. I've got May 22nd booked for the dyno
Edit for some pics :D

Re: 09 Canadian SFWD Build
Quick update my manifold finally showed up, waiting on a vband clamp, and finishing up intercooler piping. Should be running for Sunday afternoon if all works out.
I'll take better pics when I get a chance.
