Questions about hard water stains on my glass.
I recently ran across a steal for a 1990 Integra. A buddy mine had the car for well over 6 years, took good care of it, but the tranny went out and it sat up for about 4 months outside. It sat through winter here in Texas and we saw alot of rain and snow this year. After getting the car I washed it with some dish soap and then waxed it immediately. Paint came out wonderful. Problem is I have these hard water stains in all the glass. As if somebody sprayed soapy water all over the glass and let it dry. I'm at the point where I might try wetsanding or buffing or using some sort of cut and buff.. Any suggestions?

there are many options you can try:
clay bar the windows with some quick detailer
using some polishing compound and a foam pad and da ( i recommend this)
00000 steel wool with some glass polishing liquid.

There's a product Chemical Guys makes to remove hard water spots. I used it on a friend's car that had concrete water marks in the paint and it worked great.

You can also try using white vinegar, lemon juice or a toilet bowl cleaner. Hard water stains are actually mineral deposits, which can be removed with an acid. If that doesn't work, take a really close look and make sure that the 'stains' aren't actually pits or craters. In that case you will have to polish or replace the glass.

I ended up taking a slightly used brillo pad out of my kitchen sink and used some rubbing compound and with some elbow grease it cleared up real nice..
