New 3g Civic owner
Hello all,
I just bought an stock 87 Si and resources for the 3g Civic seem sparse to say the least. I looked at a couple of EF's, but the square angles of the AH caught my eye more. I know parts and aftermarket will be more limited. But I like the feeling of not seeing dozens on the road when I'm driving. Like it would be with an EF.
What are the best forums for the AH?
Thanks,
Ron

Hey,
I had one of those, i still love it after years of parting it out.
You are lucky, hasport now make mount kits for the car, for B and D motors.
Also am sure you can kind coilovers for it too, I guess a brand called GAB make them.
I had modified GSR brakes front and rear to fit them on mine.
Best of luck, do upload pics of the sqare angels.
Regards

Re: New 3g Civic owner
Yeah, I spaced the pics, got them on there now. These are the pics the seller sent me, still raining so no new pics yet. It needs a new muffler because it only has the resonator and the pipe exits behind the drivers door. Sounds like crap really The stock air box is gone too, replaced with a k&n style clamp on filter. Missing the rear cargo cover too.
Other than that the car is stock and all there. No cracks in the dash or panels, seats and headliner are great too. At some point a engine swap will be done, not sure with what just yet...
Just trying to read all I can about the 3g's.

Wow, congrats mate that looks superb.
Mine was a complete rust bucket in comparission, though considering I live on a tropical island i cant complain.
There is alot of fun to be had, due the light weight of the thing.
Hope to see updates.

HAHA! I do have more plans for it than money. Looking for a job as I type... I just wish it was Not red, I really like that light blue metallic, but paint is a low proiority. I'll wash and rub out the red paint to get a shine on it.

Great looking car. I wouldn't do too much to it. Like you said, you don't see these on the road that much. So why ruin it?
Nice car!

Re: New 3g Civic owner
I agree. When weather permits, I'll buff it out to make the stock paint look better. Add some better tunes and lower it down on some old school 14's and that is about it. I have own Much faster cars and this will not be one of them. Gonna all show and No go... Except I get Good gas mileage for once...
