my 1972 n600 sedan
a honda n600 was the very first car honda sold in the united states. it has been one of my dream cars forever now and never in a million years did i think i would get to own one some day. but the other day there just so happens to be a guy right here in holts summit 7 miles down the road from me that has 6 of them for sale!! including one with 20,000 miles and mint. i ended up buying this one that is complete and running.. i drove it home and i have to say it was the funnest thing ive ever ever driven LOL. it has a 600cc air cooled 2 cylinder and 4 speed manual. the engine makes about 36hp and the car weighs about 1100 lbs curb weight. and suprisingly it is not as slow as i thought it would be. it will even do burnouts haha.
here are pics of me just getting it home today as is.. i have lots and lots of work i have planned to fix this thing up! more pics to come as i progress.

Re: my 1972 n600 sedan
i fixed a ton of stuff on it and cleaned it up some so here are the new pics..still undecided on the yellow wheels but they look better in person and people can see me so they dont run me over lol. i might go with the body color though...
it needs a new right tailight lense. i tried to buff it out but its screwed. the only one i can find is a brand new in the wrapper lense on ebay and they want $150 for just the lense. screw that! the guy put a gas tank in the back because the stock one under the car has alot of crap in it.. im gonna clean and coat the stock one so i can get that tank out of there and put the back seat back in.
someone looong time ago put some koni shocks on it!! lol..i doubt they make them anymore but im gonna see if koni has any laying ona shelf somewhere because the fronts are definetly shot and need replaced but cant find any used good ones. they dont make nothing new for this car any more. not even oil fiters. i was lucky and the guy gave me a brand new oil filter though.

There is essentially no chance of Koni having any replacements available, but as long as the major components of those dampers aren't damaged (i.e. bent rod, dented housing, etc.) then Koni may be able to rebuild them for you. It will require you to disable to car for a while while you send them to the Kentucky service center and wait for them to return, but it would definitely be worth your while. Call Koni North America at 859-586-4100, option 51 from 7:30am-4:00pm eastern time.

Hey, nice N.
I got one question. Your car´s ID starts with an A (AN600 104...)
I always thought that stands for the Hondamatic-Version but you seem to habe 4 gear-shift.
Or does the A stand for American-Export-Version ??? Does anybody know?
Mark

Technically the US versions are designated AN600 and AZ600, but most people typically drop the A.

I just did one of those "this thread was just posted so I'll read the whole thing and then offer my comments" things without realizing it's a year and a half old.
Do you still have it? I think it would make an awesome DD with a .6 liter engine. I'll bet you get mad gas mileage.

Re: my 1972 n600 sedan
im asking 3000...yea the body is rusty, but you just cant find any of these for sale that run and drive PERFECT...and also this one is 99% complete. only one thing missing, trim on one fender....it even has the dome light lense and original spare tire and cover.
imo, the only sedans youll be able to find for sale that are complete and run and drive perfect are ones that have been restored and those go for alot more money

Re: my 1972 n600 sedan
heres some newer pics...put some carpet and door seals in it and also got the stock gas tank back in it and back seat back in.
the gas tank was all rusty inside so i cleaned it all out with rocks and then coated the inside with red-kote fuel tank liner and installed a new autometer fuel sender.
as far as the engine goes i have done ALOT of tuning up and work to it. runs so perfect, i drive this car everywhere.
i have even taken it to the racetrack and ran the 1/4 mile...and also won a burnout competition lol...(although it only spun the tires for a second) ive got vid if youd like to see it haha
