been doing a lot of reserach into alarms myself.

From the looks of it, that looks like an alarm with a list of impressive useless features that are basically gimmics.

If you want something to show off to people then get it.

But if you want something to actually help with not having your car stolen then get a normal non-paging alarm that has at least a 2 point immobiliser built in, and a siren with a backup batter.

And as I have been told many times, an alarm is only as good as the installer, if the thief can find the alarm then he can bypass it, a good installer will hide the alarm very well.

thats my 2 cents

Hmm.. Well basically I just wanted an alarm with a pager.

I guuueesss it's not that important, but knowing that the car is locked and if its being tampered with can only be a plus.

Do you know of any alarm with the features you mentioned that i can get for less than 200?

I have been doing quite a bit of reserach and found anything from directed electronics to be good http://www.dei.com they produce viper, etc.

the only problem i see with their alarms is that there are no built in immobilisers. But they can be added via relays

A few australian brands i know of that are very good are Dynamaco
http://www.dynamaco.com.au and mongoose.

Basically look past the gimics and look for an alarm that has 2 point immobilisers, and good sensors.

Dont bother with remote start, pagers and all the other crap.

BTW.... I have never heard of Dynamaco either 94
