Default Polarbear alarm

Anyone have any experience or heard of polarbear alarm systems?
For $250 I can have a 2 way alarm/remote starter installed. Heres a link: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...924355399.html

what do you guys think? For a compustar 2 way and remote starter would run me at least $400 installed.

Don't know, but that's a pretty iffy antenna for a 2-way pager (piece of wire).

A DEI brand would run you around the same price maybe cheaper and it comes with warranty if it's from an authorized dealer. Car security isn't something you want to have installed then it craps out on you out of nowhere.. Do some research here and find a system that will best suite your needs.

The brain with the "wire" is a one way, look at the remotes.

However, I can not find a site for them only suppliers and that makes me think it is a offshore brand, so i look and what do I find...

I would look for something else, AutoStart, [also now owned by DEI] makes a good product at very good pricing, and much better warranty.

Anothes are PolarStart and ProStart, [ProStart is a Canadian Tire product] both are well made dependable products with better warranty. 94

update: The remote is sh*t. It breaks after 1 year of regular use. The 1st remote failed after a year and was replaced under warranty by the installer. The 2nd remote failed a few months ago. Now that im out of warranty I still trying to decide whether to get a new remote from them.

I work installing complete stereo systems alarms and remote starters. I have never heard of that brand of alarm honestly ever. Is that a local company or something? I would just forget the new remotes and invest in any 2 way CompuSTAR alarm/starter.
