PIE AUX HON98 Tech Question

PIE AUX HON98 Tech Question
I have a 2004 Civic VP with Single In-Dash CD and Cassette. I want to add a line-in for my mp3 player. The Cassette player is plugged into the back of the stereo and there is an open 14 pin port on the Cassette player. If I plug in a PIE AUX HON98 adapter to the open port, does the Cassette player get disabled? Or does the CD player get disabled? Would it be preferential to unplug the Cassette player altogether and plug the PIE AUX box directly into the stereo head unit?

38 views, no reply. I went ahead and ordered the PIE HON98-AUX box. I will connect it both ways and will report my findings back here to help clear this up for the next guy.

Re: PIE AUX HON98 Tech Question
Alright, I installed the PIE HON98-AUX by plugging it into the open port on the cassette player. With this connected, pressing the CD TAPE button switches between the CD player, cassette player, and the auxillary port which tricks the radio into thinking it is a CD changer, always set to disc 1. So there you have it, plugging into the cassette player gives you all three inputs. This is exactly what I was looking for. The sound quality through the line in seems better and richer than a CD.
