Default Cold Heat soldering iron

http://coldheat.com/

Has anyone used this? Supposedly, it uses an electrical current to heat the wire instead of the tip. Kinda makes me wonder if some of the more sensitive electronics may not respond so well.

I'm kinda tired of using my Snap-On butane iron.

I saw the Infomercial and I almost bought it. IT looks hella tight. I want someone to buy it and let us know how it is.

i just FINALLY got mine in the mail...i've waited like 5 months for the bitch...

Its pretty nice for $20...
But since it does use current to heat the tip, I would stay away from surface mount components just for the fear of blowing anything, especally DIPs and Quadpacks due to shorting of the leads.....
