New Front Speakers... Now rears are quiet...
So just put some front speakers in a 1999 prelude, two wires leading to each pin on the stock connector. Clipped off the connectors and soldered to new speaker leads, both wires on each side to their respective wire on the new speaker. Did both sides, mounted everything, turn on the stereo. Front speakers pumping sound, rear are barely audible?? stock speaker were 4 ohm 15 watt, new ones are 4 ohm 40 watt. I have an aftermarket pioneer head unit. Not sure what is going on here....

Could be more efficient speakers, although honestly I would have expected the opposite. What happens when you adjust the fade between F/R?

Was also going to suggest, check fader position.
Also as mentioned, speaker wattage is not a facter in output, in this case the OEM speakers will be the more efficant and technically the OEM speaker should be louder. 94
