my alarm is going off by itself sometimes
i installed it myself... and checked all the wiring.. but sometimes when the alarm is on... the siren just goes off ringing and nothing has touched the vehicle?? anyone else have this problm?

i got an avital 6500.... um... actually i thouht it miht be the ground so i grounded it directly to the battery.... but it still didnt remedy the problem

take a look at the alarm's built-in diagnostics.....you should be able to tell which zone is being triggered. once this is determined you can perform a better troubleshoot.

no micorwave sensor or anything like that.. i even disconnecte the shock sensor and the same thing happens...

what kind of vehicle is it, There could be a voltage drop in the door trigger circuit. And that would cause it but I need to know the vehicle make model and year.
