I have installed the 791xv on my coupe. My question is, what light blinking sequence should the led have when armed and disarmed. Mine seems a little odd so I want to know if its right.

if passive arm mode set about 3 flashes per sec before arming

Okay...is the IGN wire connected to the car? the 791 has it in the relay pack.

I'm not grasping what you are asking. The viper led will flash the following:

passive arm mode quickly once all entry points are closed.

when armed a steady flash - about 1 per second.

flashing while disarmed indicated what zone triggered in youir absence - this is reset when car is started with key.

got it, I think everything is okay.. another question off topic since I cant get hold of desmon. If I mount the alarm antenna under the dash on the top part of the firewall closest to the bottom of the windshield, will that creat any kind of reception problems between the transmitter and the receiver?

yes it will most Definitely cause reception issues
