issues with alarm that came with the car

Default issues with alarm that came with the car

hi, i jus recently bought a 95 civic dx and it came with a viper alarm .. i can arm and disarm with the button but it doesn't make any siren sound .. the light just flashes .. when i unlock my door with the key while the alarm is armed, the alarm doesnt go off .. but when i push the panic button, i can hear the siren .. any suggestions on what the problem is ?> .. thank you

Your car is in valet mode. Open the door and press lock-unlock-lock. and that should take car of that. If your lock/unlock shares the same button and there is a aux button to the right of it press lock/unlock-aux-lock/unlock. and that will do the same as above.

i have the alarm that both lock and unlock are the same button .. when u say aux/lock .. did u mean press both at the same time ? .. sorry got kind of confused .. thanks

Translation:

Step 1: Open a Door
Step 2: Press the Lock/Unlock Button
Step 3: Press the Aux Button
Step 4: Press the Lock/Unlock Button

Car should be out of valet mode.

You can also find the "Valet Button" inside of the car...

However I forget the button press sequence...
I own a viper alarm.. just not finished installing it, been busy, so i don't use it...
