Default Installing car stereo?

I bought a Sony MEX-5DI headunit that plays MP3s and has a LED screen that you can load pictures on and what not. I already have a amp that is power my 2 12s in that are in my trunk, and they are hooked up to my back speakers since i have no RCA's on my stock headunit. I want to get this headunit installed and i am going to buy a crunch P4125 amp that will power the headunit. Ok now i have a alpine cd changer that is hooked up to my stock headunit that came with the car. I want to keep that. My question is, can i get my new headunit installed, but still have the stock headunit in my car and able to use it and the cd changer that it is hooked up to. I have seen this before and heard a little about it, but i don't know if i can have it done to my car.

Thanks.

You don't need the stock radio. The changer is hooked up to the radio via a modulator, which allows the radio (whichever one is in the car) to pick up the signal through your antenna plug. All you have to do is put the new radio in and everything should work. Make sure you leave the antenna wires plugged in the right places.

actually the cd changer is hooked up to the stock headunit like it was made for it, there is no modulator and it isn't using the antenna. The stock headunit controls the cd changer.

What he is saying is that you can get an RF modulator that will control the changer through any decks radio. Go to Circuit City or one of those places, they will know what an RF modulator is and be able to order on or have one in stock.
