How to wire Speakers for 4 Ohms?
My Amp can do 1 Channel at 230 Watts at 4 Ohms. I have 3 Subs, Dual Voice Coil 4 Ohms. How can i wire these to end up at 4 Ohms?
I can run other configurations too if needed... It just wont be a balanced setup (2 on 1 channel, 1 on 2nd channel)

Make and model of amp?
You can't get a 4 ohm load wit 3 DVC 4 ohm subs, you can get 6 ohms, [parallel/series] or 2.66 ohms, [series/parallel], go with two subs and wire them series/parallel, VCs in series for an 8 ohm load then the subs in parallel to bring it back down to 4 ohms.
The other option is to find an amp that is stable at 2 ohms and wire the VCs in series then the 3 subs in parallel.
Definitely need make and model of subs, 230W is low for 3 DVC subs. 94

Re: How to wire Speakers for 4 Ohms? (fcm)
Yeah... was just thinking that.. the RMS of the Subs is 200...
The subs are Infinity Reference 1052W, the amp is an older model sony... XM-404EQX... its an amp I have so i was trying to use it...
Was thinking of going with the Kenwood Excelon KAC-X10D (300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) )
Im confused though... how many watts would i get if im running at 2.66 Ohms

Well with the sony it wont push 3 subs and survive a week, maybe not even 2. The kenwood would do great with 2 subs and still very good with 3. Might need a capacitor though. All wiring options are right here:

Then you should only be running one of those subs...

You amp is not stable below 4 ohms so you should not run a 2.66 ohm load.

Thanks for the help!!
Would the Kenwood KAC-9104D do?
Maximum Power Output
• 1800W
Rated Power Output (14.4V )
• 500W x 1 at 4ohms (20-200Hz 0.5% THD)
• 900W x 1 at 2ohms (100Hz 0.8% THD)
• Over 900W at 1ohm
Also the 1052W Reference speakers arent set in stone yet.... I can just get a good deal on them... ill be running them in a JL Stealth Vantage box in an integra.... let me know if this is a good config or not....

Re: How to wire Speakers for 4 Ohms? (I Want An Si)
The Kenwood amp will do the job, it should make around 800W into 2.66 ohms.
What size, [gross cuft of volume inside of box] is the JL box and is it a sealed box?
The 3 Infinity subs need .75cuft gross each, [2.25cuft gross total] in a sealed box.
It is importent that box volume is correct... http://manuals.harman.com/INF/...W.pdf 94
