How to install proximity sensor to my current alarm?
Hi guys, my car currently has the Viper 3303 2-way alarm. I was wondering how do I install a proximity sensor to it? The proximity sensor I'm talking about is called 508D Radar Field Disturbance Sensor.
I heard from a lot of people that it's easy to install almost like plug and play but I couldn't find instructions.
And I believe there's only 2 plugs both consist of 4 wires: red, black, green and blue.
Can someone provide me steps to installing one? pics would be great too. thanks

If equipped, your alarm brain will have an optional port for the 4 wire plug. If not, you will need to cut and splice. The manual for your alarm states that this DOES have an optional 4 port MUX port so you should be able to plug the 508D into that port.
Red - from the same place your alarm brain is getting power
Black - from the same place your alarm brain is grounding
Green and Blue - I assume you can tie them together, run it to the blue instant trigger wire on your alarm brain. Use a diode, stripe facing the 508D module.
You might even be able to do without the green wire. But you WILL need to run the blue wire to the instant trigger (also blue) alarm wire with a diode.

Such a great workout having this, i guess thats why they have little adjustments on the corner though. Wouldn't want to run out of work just to find out someone parked beside you every 5 minutes.

Might as well do that too while I'm at it. thanks in advance

The manual will tell you that you have a optional MUX port for additional sensors. Typcially, it's only 1 extra port. Use this port for your 508D.
As for the 507M. You will have to wire it manually. There's only 3 wires.
Red - Constant 12V
Orange - GWA or True Ignition (IG1, or Orange wire on alarm and use a diode stripe facing alarm)
Blue - Instant trigger (To blue on Alarm, use a diode, stripe facing the 507M).
I just installed a 507M in my car yesterday. It works well.
Acutally, your alarm brain should have 2 MUX ports. One 4pin, and a 3pin. The 507M is a 3 pin, and the 508D is a 4pin. Plug them in accordingly.

Where would you recommend to mount the 507M? I heard it has to be on something flat

Yes, something flat. All of that is detailed in the installation manual. As for plug and play? you need to look on your alarm brain to see if in fact it has 2 optional sensor ports. Take a picture of it from all sides and post it.

Re: How to install proximity sensor to my current alarm?
You can cut and use the blue or green trigger wire in the 4 wire harness of the Prox sensor.. the older ones (maybe it was the glass break?) Actually came with one of those free (not in the connector on one end). It will still do warn away and instant trigger, just two different zones. Its how you did an add-on sensor and the shock sensor (tag both the green and blue from the sensor to just the blue to the brain, and the green and blue to the green to the brain for your other sensor)
