um.. then its not connected?? well, its a very thin wire. so just wire together and tape around it, will have no problem rright??
pink tape?? isnt it back one?

Right.

Nope. Use the pink. It conducts electricity better and shields the osmosis from UV radiation, which can be detramental to the process if used in a Halon-rich environment (like your car)...

Yeah, but just to be safe, I'd wrap the wire in saran wrap first, then use the pink tape.
You can get the pink tape in Walmart over in the tool section... It's called marking tape, or sometimes referred to flag tape.

you my friend have just been humiliated well it was funny but on the real just take the butt connectors strip the wire insert it in the holes and crimp down. you can use any color of electrical tape you want hell it could even be multicolored. Personally tho i think nothing is better than some good old soilder. a soildering iron and tape, gaurenteed to last forever .

If you're using a butt connecter you dont need tape and i prefer using heat shrink when soldering. its more durable than electrical tape.

for a more serious answer, have a look here...
http://www.vsracing.net/~suspended/wiring.html
it shows a ring terminal, but the same technique applies to butt connectors.
i perfer solder, but its not something that everyone can do

Re: (teler86)
Dude just cover that up with electrical tape or something in that line. Put it into the wire loom and zip tie the wire loom so the solder dosnt show. Also here is guide for soldering.

Thats the thing. He came here to ask how to. What did he get? Ppl putting him down and making fun of his question with "wire osmosis" and comparing his work to droppings.(No offense just and example) If that happened to me I don't think I would ask someone else.
I say it was a good 1st atempt. Next time use heat shrink and less solder and it would be much better!

A friend taught me something years ago in order to avoid problems such as this. When soldering, first strip only a small amount of insulation at the ends of the wires. Then make something to hold the wires together, such as a pair of alligator clips screwed to a piece of sheet metal. Clip one of the wires in. Slide a piece of heat shrink over the other wire. And then slide the end of this other wire onto the first wire that is clipped. Then clip the second wire onto the remaining alligator clip and solder. Finally, slide the heat shrink over the joint and shrink it. The result? A nice, neat, clean, professional-looking connection that will last forever. This method may not be the quickest in the world. But it gives good results. I use this method with ALL wiring that I do, especially when changing ECU plugs.
