stinger distribution blocks, wire connectors.. wiring...
but ****... the 0 gauge is not flexible at all!!!
welding 0 gauge cable> most all other 0 gauge wires on te market..
plus its cheaper..

And you have that lovely skin effect to reduce its efficiency. How many strands does welding cable have?
Most decent multi-stranded cable on the market is the same. You can choose whether or not to pay for pretty insulation.

Re: What Brand of wire are you using? (Coyote1800cc)
the strands of wire of welding cable is actually the same amount as regular. i think i can find a link in like 5 mins.
i am running all stinger.
edit: ok maybe strands arent the same, but very similar properties
regular:
http://www.knukonceptz.com/pro...Wire#
welding:
http://store.weldingdepot.com/....html
half the price, and looks pretty much the same. also, the temperature for the welding is 105 degrees to -50 degrees, and the knu wire is 105 degrees to -40 degrees.

LOL you don't get skin effect in car audio its to sloooooow. This is an effect that occurs at high frequencies. The welding cable I used had more strands then the Monster crap and I paid less then half the cost. I guess if you like to pay for the name thats your choice. It's all about the "bling" nowadays right?

4ga is fine. Just make sure to split it all correctly, and upgrade the rest of the wiring in your car to 4ga. (ie, batt ground wire) otherwise, you will have a weak link.

Welding cable more flexable then any "car audio cable" more strands then any "CAC" that I have ever seen, better OFC then "CAC" , think about it, less then half the price of "CAC" and an insulation wrap, [ although not "bling"] that will take more abuse then the best "CAC", so no down side, only up, [ except for the insulation, and you can cover that with any color convoluted tube, and no one would know] 94

KnuKonceptz.com
Its very cheap and very good cable. When I ordered it this summer they lacked some acceessories, but overall, a great selection of stuff with fast shipping and good customer service.
I originally used a Stinger dual amp 4 guage install kit but after seeing what the KnuKonceptz.com is like and how much cheaper it was, its the much better option.

Re: What Brand of wire are you using? (RideOrDie)
- knukonceptz power/ground wire
- welding cable grounding wire
- Stinger ANL fuse Holder
- Lightning Audio battery terminal
- Lightning Audio distribution blocks
- Mogami Balanced signal cable
- Cardas end-connectors and solder
- SVR battery
So I guess I have a little of everything...good damn. I should have gone with 0/1 gauge instead of the 2 gauge I have now. Perhaps I'll add in a 4 gauge to compensate...maybe later when I increase power requirement

I cant immagine adding a 4 guage will help much to the setup. Maybe another 2 guage, but that wont help as much as another 0/1....

Re: What Brand of wire are you using? (integra-modder)
Well if I add in a 4 gauge, I'll expand my power capability by about 1000w; because I like to overcompensate, I'll say 750w. My current setup draws a figure well within the limits of 2 gauge of the length I use, and in fact, I could probably add my planned additional amp with no trouble (will be drawing about 500w). Because I like to overcompensate, I'm thinking about adding in a 4 gauge. And thus, now I'm thinking that a 0/1 gauge would have been better to begin with...
No worries, I know what I'm doing - just wish I had realized that I would crave more power later.

Re: What Brand of wire are you using? (archmage)
I forgot to mention the point of my post....
The larger the wire the less resistance it has, the less resistance it has the more voltage ends up reaching your amp. As a result, your amp has to "work" less to produce clearer louder music. The smaller wire, while adding additional current, it will end up dropping the voltage.
Im just remember this stuff from doing my battery relocation, but I guess it shouldnt affect an amps output as much as a cranking starter.

If your using the proper size wire for the rated amount of current your voltage drop will be nill. Using larger wire than what is needed is a waste.

Re: What Brand of wire are you using? (nsxxtreme)
0 guage wire will do at least 3500 watts.
thats about 500amps need to run 3500 watts or even more depends where the amp makes it power. some amps make 3500 wat 14.8 volts that will need bigger amps. no fucken honda will ever do more then 2000 watts unless they have like hell batteries or a huge alternator size of a s10.
