Help with wiring in 2000 Honda Accord ex with stock head unit like which is remote turn on wire
I am installing a 4 channel amplifier a single 10 inch sub to my stock head unit.
I have removed the radio and have isolated which wires are going to which speaker, but i have 2 questions:
which wire is the remote turn on wire? and
does the front tweeters come off the front wiring or are they seperately wired straight to the head unit?
I don't want to amplify the tweeters as well, so should i just disconnect them? I have 3-way speakers or should i get some pyramid tweeters and hook them up in their place?
I am running an Infinity amplifier rated at 111 watts RMS.
Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks

i am using the ignition accesory wire
but i still need help figuring out whether the tweeters are hooked at the head unit or after the head unit just splitting off the front speaker wires

ignition wire is right .......now the tweeters are connected to the radio and speakers DONT touch them..wat u do is get this little box called a high to low it has wires on one end and rca's inputs on the other...radio shack is ur freind ......on the box is 4 wires colored like two grey and two white each pair is for 1 speaker use ur rear speakers tap into those wires cause all ur amp needs is a sound signal from ur rear speakers two wht to 1 speaker and two grey to the other ..now since the box only have two rca's and ur amp is 4 channel u need to buy y jacks..radio shack one end female and other end two males you need two of those and a 3to6 feet rca wire....so high to low box to long rca to y jacks to amp ur done then wire up ur sub to two channels briged and ur new tweeters to the other two----1 tweeter a channel and if the amp has built in crossover which is a button that says high/mid/low (tweeters on high and sub on low) ..............THATS IT hope that helps man

Yeah i was thinking i could do that, but then i would lose my stock fade and balance controls on my radio, and on top of that my amplifier has speaker level inputs, thanks though.
