Does this sound like my CD player is dead
Hi, I have a 2005 honda civic ex special edition with the stock 6 disc player.
Last night my car would not start and a guy gave me a jump and got my car started, today I went and got a new battery put in.
I entered the 5 digit code for the radio unit and the radio came on but nothing happens when I push the cd button all I hear is silence and I currently have 6 cds in the player. I tried hitting the eject button and get no response, I tried the load button and it just says busy.
I'm a little puzzled since had no problems with the cd player at all, can they just stop working out of the blue.

Try a reboot, disconnect the batt. neg. cable, wait 15min. and reconnect, the CD transport should "initialize", [reboot].
If that does not work then the problem is the CD transport processor section of the HU. 94
