does 05accord 6cd changer cdplayer has reset button?
Somehow, my cd player keep showing me "mecha error"
And now I could only use Radio and XM.
I went to the dealer, what they told me is, I need to get an another cd player.
which that makes me super ******* angry
What they did was, turn it on and they look at the sign.
They never try to fix my cdplayer.
So I wonder, Reset might be work.
but I can't find reset button.....

You can reboot the system by disconnecting the batt. neg.(-) terminal, wait 15 min. and reconnect, if it's a processing problem, that should fix it.
However "mecha error" indicates a mechanical error, if you can eject the cartridge remove all disks before rebooting. 94

If I reboot all system, then I need to put my code.
But I don't know what is the code.
Then I have to pay $80 to get the code.
Is there anyway I could get the audio code without taking out all the audio system?

Nope. You need the model & serial number to get the code.
And it won't cost you $80. If the dealer wants to charge you, hang up and call another one. Rinse, lather, repeat until you get the code for free.

Re: (xkrntamax)
Pull your radio out yourself, grab the serial number off the radio. Take it to the dealership with your dl's and registration and 95% will give you the code for free

They charged me labor for $80 to take out the system.
did anyone gets free code?</TD></TR></TABLE> The labour, as you said, is for the re & re of the HU, I have never had a customer charged for the code, if they pull the HU themselves, we charge $20 for a re & re, for those customers that just can't pull their HUs themselves, if you can't, check the local car audio shops.

Re: (fcm)
Thank you for the information.
I got the code today.
And I still have problem with my stupid CD player.
I try to go to CD but there is no CD function.
I guess After, reset, CD player function has been removed or something.
before reset, If i player CD, "mecha error" message come but, no cd player function.....
Do I need to install CD player function after reset? lol

Re: (xkrntamax)
No, you should not have to do anything except power it up, is the changer cord plugged in properly at both ends?
Are you able to eject changer magazine, [cartrage]?
If so, do so and remove discs and reinstall empty magazine, and see what happens. 94
