Clifford self powered siren 515c on a non clifford alarm brain
has anyone every installed on of these on a non clifford brain? I noticed that the data port signals has 2 wires:
green = GND
yellow = 4.5-5.28 VDC at all times (signal wire)
Non dataport wires:
red= 12+
black =GND
I tested this with my clifford alarm and the yellow wire is always 4.5-5.28 VDC when arming, disarming, doing nothing, and when going off. I want to hook this up to my new viper alarm. is there any way i can trick the siren to work properly? i already looked at the internal circuitry and i can't figure it out because I think the trigger is calculated by an IC.

can not be done. the reason is the Clifford siren uses what I believe is called cliffnet communication. were the viper uses esp2 to communicate. so been different data. just won't work. however viper/dei does make a siren like the 515c to be used on the esp2 data can't remember the part # tho.

Ok the model # is 515esp. its new so kinda hard to find.
back up siren works with any dei products with esp port.
meaning no need key = can hide anywhere

I believe the the 515esp siren sounds like a regular siren, but then I have not heard this siren. But as for the Clifford Higher ting sound. It been a trade mark for Clifford G series alarm.
