Default clifford engine start (or alarm) for crv

my mother just bought a 2005 crv lx last week and it came equipped with an alarm system that had the immobilizer built into the key. she wants engine start installed, but would they be able to install an engine start on a vehicle thats already equipped with an alarm system? i saw from directeds site and they have an accessory that is an anti-theft bypass module.. would that be needed? i think she would want to keep the stock alarm bc of the gate glass release on it. if she installed a complete alarm/engine start alarm, would she still need the gate/glass release selenoid (spelling) and would she need the anti-theft bypass module in order to install a clifford (or other) alarm system? thanks...

Most alarm, alarm/remote start or remote start system allow you to wire up oem alarms and/or key less entry and their functions, [door locks. trunk/hatch release and others] so you only have to carry one remote, to get by the "transponder" key you do need a "bypass module" so when you start the car with the remote start, a key does not have to be in the ign. 94

when the responder key first came out, directed had basically a box, that you put under the dash with the valet key in it, and it would allow you to remote start the vehicle, nowadays there is a bypass peice that does not require a key (for hondas atleast). as far as an aftermarket alarm, they can do just about anything you want. An aftermarket remote start alarm would be able to pop the hatch, unlock the doors, lock them etc. I would recommend a either a viper 560 or a viper 791. the 560 is a remote start alarm with regular keypads, while the 791 is a remote start alarm with a responder keypad. (the keypad confirms when the door lock and unlock, and the keypad will vibrate and or beep when the alarm is set off) feel free pm me if ya need anything else....i do this all day everyday
