car won't start after minor collision W/ air bag deployment
05 Accord involved in minor collision with drivers air bag deployment. Car won't start. Won't turn over. Fuel pump comes on. Green key security light comes on in dash. Manual transmission, checked clutch safety switch-ok. Disconnected battery for a possible reset - no. Dealer says designed so after deployment, will need a new SRS computer for it to start. I work with tows, cars start with deployment. Wondering if something to do with the factory security system- immobilizer? We don't have the electronic key, only the valet key. Thank you

I also have never heard of a car not starting just because an airbag was deployed, yes a new SRS unit, [and airbag] and possibly sensor that triggered the airbag will need to be replaced.

Car is not going to start with the valet key. Your going to need the main key. Srs computer is not the issues
