Default blinking LED viper 5901 problem

I have an alarm installed in my car, and everything works fine, but the blinking blue LED of the command center blinks 3 times constantly. I know the light is not supposed to blink at all when unarmed, blink once when armed, and blinks multiple times when the alarm has been tripped. The confirmation/parking lights are not wired, and i was planning on wiring that: thats a quick fix. But I am not sure about the LED. I do not have the remote start wired, and didn't plan on using it, but I have heard from somewhere that the pink wire from the h3 harness needs to be wired to ignition? can anyone confirm this, and is there anything else from the remote start harness I need to wire if I'm not using the remote start feature?

Did you do the wiring (install) yourself ?

Edit, yes the pink H3/1 needs to be connected.

3 blinks from the LED when alarm is disarmed is a tripped trigger indicator, [Zone 3 door trigger, it will continue to blink untill the ign. is turned on, if the pink lead is not connected, it will never cancel the blinks.

Also, if not connected, [pink] you can not do a disarm without remote, [emergency override] if your remote fails to work.

Also, most, if not all, programing can not be done without the pink connected.

Alarm siren will chirp one time when arming, if there are no problems.
Alarm siren will chirp two times when disarming, if there ar no problems. 94

the alarm arms and disarms, and it wont arm when a door's ajar, etc. but the led does blink three times, all the time... lead ribbon? the ribbon that goes to the command center to the brain? that is connected...i also read that sometimes the command center has been screwed when buying off ebay, but i bought brand new from a vendor

You need better assistance. Fcm the viper 5901 has a molex plug now. And the relays are on the brains. You need to tag the pink wire to true ignition. As far as the system not arming with the door open. Sounds like you truly wired something wrong.

i was asking if the pink wire that was mentioned, that needed to be 'tagged' to ignition was from the h3 harness, the harness for remote start

oops, shows how long I have been out of that game.

It's about time Viper got their poop in a group, the off-board satellite relay pack was one of the things I did not like about the DEI line.

I see the heavy gauge pink is both the output and input of ign.

Sorry cgoldman11, hope you did not spend too much time looking for the non existent ribbon wire. I myself.

Yes the pink H3/1 needs to be connected.

The other points in my post should still apply, [unless Viper has changed them also].

I also agree the alarm should still arm if door is open, it should just ignore the door trigger.

Now I am covering my ***, so this is directly out of the owners guide, page 32...

Trigger Zone Fault Report
When armed by remote command the system runs a status check
of the alarm trigger zones. Faulty zones (usually caused by dome
light delay or open trunk) are bypassed and reported via the control
center LED and remote, while all other trigger zones remain active
and are monitored to protect the vehicle. Should a faulty zone self
correct (dome light turns off) it becomes active and is then monitored
normally.
The siren chirps once again a few seconds following the arming
chirps as an audible alert, the control center LED flashes in groups to
indicate the zone number. The remote will emit a single fault tone and
play zone specific text that identifies the faulty zone 94

orly, please enlighten me on this. I sold over 300 of these units and been installing dei units for 16 years. All of them will arm with the door open and will shunt that zone till it comes online.

This is what all dei alarms do and most out there. Shunt that zones till it picks up thats it is working again. And then covers it.
