Default Amp for Type R Subs

I currently have some 2 low end 12" kickers powered by a DhD PowerCruiser NXT-3104 which according to the web site is:

Max. Power 800w
2 Channels
Total Power @ 2 ohms 100w
Total Power @ 4 ohms 75w
Total Power Bridged 400w

The amp actually says its 1200watts on it so maybe they changed the model into weaker powered amp, but anyways I plan on selling my kickers for one Alpine Type R Sub. My question is my amp ok for this sub, and if so should i purchase the DVC or single 4ohm version of this sub.

Also need to know if the amp is stable at 2 ohms when bridged, most 2CH amps are not.

If the amp is a 2x75watts into 4 ohms then it should be 1x150watts into 4 ohms and that is not enough for a type R that is 500 watts rms and 1500 watts peak 94

If you're going to be running your sub at 4 ohm, then get the 2 ohm DVC one.

i bought the amp cheap and used so i dont have any spec sheets for it. The amp says on it that its a 3104 series with 1200 watts, the dhd websites lists the 3104 as a 800 watt model. I did however find some specs for a 1000 watt 3104 series amp:

Number of Channels 2
RMS Power (4 ohms) 150 watts x 2 chan.
RMS Power (2 ohms) 200 watts x 2 chan.
RMS Power (1 ohm) Not Stable
Bridged RMS Power 400 watts
Peak Power Output 1000 watts
Min. Impedance Unbridged 2 ohms
Min. Impedance Bridged 4 ohms
THD @ Rated RMS Power 0.03% (4 ohms), 0.08% (2 ohms)
Speaker Level Inputs No
Amp Preamp Outputs Yes
Built-in Crossover HP (50Hz-1kHz), LP (35-500Hz), Subsonic (27Hz Fixed)
Bass Boost 0-18 dB
Signal-to-Noise Ratio &gt;95dB

Hopefully this helps, if the amp is still no good do you have any recommendations on an amp that can push this sub?

bump.. plus i was also wondering if this amp would be a better choice:

Lanzar Vibe 1200D Mono Block Subwoofer Amplifier :
1 x 400 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms
1 x 800 Watts Max at 2 Ohms
1 x 1200 Watts Max at 1.3 Ohms
1 Ohm Stereo Stable
MOSEFT Power Supply
PMW (pulse-Width-Modulation)System
Glass Epoxy PCB w/SMD Technology
Gold RCA Inputs
Custom Terminal Block for Speaker Connection
Thermal,Overload &Short Protection
Variable Subsonic Filter (15Hz-40Hz,24dB/Octave)
Variable Lowpass Filter (20Hz-250Hz,24dB/Octave)
Phase Control 0~180 °
Remote Bass Control
Input Impedance:10k Ohms
Soft Turn On/Off
Heavy Duty Power Coated Heatsink
Frequency Response:15 Hz-35 kHz
S/N Ratio:90 dB

</TD></TR></TABLE> Just from the specs alone its a better amp , it's also a monoblock, and stable down to 1 ohm, all good, as for how good the amp itself is, I don't know 94
