Alarm Question: 1998 - 1999 era Viper Alarm, keyless + panic function works, no regular arming thoug
Like the title says, I have a good quality 1998/1999 era Viper on my accord. It's not protecting the doors / no ignition kill. Panic & Keyless entry work, it's just not acting like an alarm!
Here's the diagnosis:
Audible chirp fuction w/ remote? : NO!
Keyless entry / lock? : Normal
Panic Mode w/ remote? : Normal
Audible Alarm with door opening? NO!
Ignition kill? NO!
Also...my alarm LED is constantly lit when I arm. It's not blinking.
When i leave the car for about an hour...the LED is dead. No light / no flashing.
Help!! What's do i need to do to fix this thing? Is there a battery module that i need to replace?
THANKS

Your alarms in valet mode. Open the drivers door and on your remote press lock, then unlock, then lock again. If it doesnt work the 1st time try slowing down between pressing buttons or speeding up. Your led LED should start blinking instead of being solid and you should be out of valet mode. Good luck!

Or turn the key on then off and push the valet button for 1 second and release.
