You say your inspiration is the Civette... the difference is Civettes parts were taken from a wrecked vette and you just ruined what looked to be a perfectly fine Cobra, also, all you're doing is tacking on a Integra body to a Cobra chasis... it's hardly the same thing as what they did with the Civette. I'm not knocking your work by any means... god knows I couldn't do it, but people have been cutting and pasting car bodies onto other cars for a long time, it's hardly original. I think the Civette took a bit more creativity to get it to work. But that's all my opinion. Good luck with your build.

I agree with you sir- I in no way shape or form am trying to say my build is like the civette- in fact my build is actually like the cibaru- I just was INSPIRED by the civette. The biggest difference is that the mustang chassis is the same size as the integra, so i wont HAVE to do as much work as the civette. I took what he did, and tried to simplify it. Does that make since? I thought to myself why not use a smaller v8? It seemed very possible and alot easier!
So thats what got me started- and here I am-

9/1/10
So today i unbolted the front end and the side skirts-from the integra, and decided to try them on the mustang shell, just to get a better idea of fitment in the future-
Looks like after lining things up, the motor WILL be higher than anticipated, but thats not too big of a concern for me. The side skirts fit like a glove, which was expected since the wheel base was almost identical. Here are some pictures so you can all sorta see how its coming together-
P.S my Cats found my speaker box... thanks cats....
Fenders and hood removed- along with sideskirts-
Sideskirt fitment (only tested for length and to line up the fender and "firewall" as a reference
You can see here, that my windshield will sit in a good spot, also you might notice the OEM mustang fender location is an inch or 2 higher-
Another shot at a lower angle to show where the motor sits-
I sat the hood on the engine bay, this does not tell me a whole lot, because the hood latch is sitting on the radiatior support and it is quite apparent that the mustang is a wider car-
Love the cats!

Re: V8 Integra Build Thread- FOR REAL THIS TIME!!
x2 lmao jk
in reality i just really wouldn't want to be caught dead in a ford chassis haha but for real it is a hard task being done. I would have personally just built a tube chassis with a chevy motor but thats what i think working at a race car shop and in the end the result is the same so by all means props to you sir. Good luck, it was a unique car before and will still be in its right crazy after. have fun stay safe
