Brownie Version 2.0
Decided it's finally time to let my sedan go on to a new home and start a new project with a little bit different direction than last time. So pretty soon here, the sedan will be out of my life.
Attachment 530170
Last weekend I took a trip down to Chicago area to pick up KdizZl3's old brown hatch. And here the new project begins.
First things first, get it cleaned up a little
Love the paint
Started tearing her down to respray the bay/core support
I've got a long road ahead of me, but I'm going to have fun with it all through the build and even more fun once it's up and running.

Hopefully your sedan will go to a proper owner who will appreciate it and not let it go to hell, lol. Look forward to the new hatch.

Sedan left my driveway for the last time today. Happysad moment.
About 90% done with the radiator refurbishing
And bought paint for the engine bay and started degreasing the bay today.

First primer sprayed. Epoxy Primer. Going to let this cure for a few days then lightly sand and fix a few bad spots that show up now that it's sprayed. Then final high build primer and color. Also have about 95% of my suspension parts on order.

Primer #2 last night. High Build Primer. Color should be some time tomorrow or Sunday
Also had some goodies show up this week. Once the bay is painted, suspension rebuild will commence. Still trying to source some coilovers though...having a bit of a time with that.

Thanks. I believe it's the Karcepts radiator bracket. It's one of the few pieces that came with the car.
As far as the AMR coils go, I got lucky that Andy had a customer who had ordered a set for an eg hatch and later decided that he didn't want them. So they're suppose to pretty much be machined already. He's just got to get different springs and re-valve the bodies for my setup and build them...He said it should be 2-3 weeks. But I don't plan on having the car running until the spring anyways. However it would be nice to get it back on the ground so I can move it around again.
Got the coating on the other side finished after having to weld in a small patch where the pinch seam had cracked and started rusting.
Started re-running wires little by little up front. This pic was from a couple days ago, I redid some of it again since then because I didn't like how I had the radiator fan routed.

Both headlight harnesses are finished and started working on re-assembling the front suspension. Just lower control arms and itr sway bar so far.
