Endless Projects/N1 Concepts/Chasebays/Leonard Yee 2005 Honda Fit/JDM EDITION
Here to debut my new project, 2005 Honda Fit, JDM Edition.
Well, I've built numerous cars, 2 Ek's and a EM1, so it's time for a new project.
I've been shopping at N1 Concepts for a while, since its located about 10 mins away. Norman Tong, the owner, always brought in the coolest things, and they carried a wide variety of parts and cars. Norman is a pretty close friend of mines and we met probably about 6-7 years ago at HIN when he fixed my car at the show. It was pretty cool since he was a race guy and he helped a show guy with some engine problems. Some of the cars they built was a RHD Honda fit with k20 swap and now they got a J's Racing S2000.
Well, there was this black JDM Honda Fit at N1, that's been sitting and collecting dust. Not too many people were interested in a RHD Fit, and Norm offered me a good price for it. So, why not i brought it home in 2007 and started to work on it.
The engine bay is going to get some work on it, and Chase @ chasebays will be making me a custom Milspec harness for it.
Plans:
Semi built K24
kugel, super super clean engine bay
blinged out
time attack
With the help of:
Endless Projects
N1 Concepts
RCREW Racing
and
ChaseBays
I, present to you my Honda Fit:
It was in pieces and needed to be put back together. Luckily I made in time for Super Lap Battle 07. Although it didn't run too many heats, we were able to get some feel on this car.
Winter time came, so i brought the car to Midnight Performance to get a NASA spec roll cage done. They also built a custom radiator support similar to another Fit. It works out great when you have to jack up the front, nice and BEEfY!
in the trunk, me and my friend Chris Yap cut out the rear spare tire well tub and welded sheetmetal and braced it.
The car was in a roll over so it needed a rear quarter panel, and body work here in there.
This will go quick
custom purple anodized AN fittings, not the best finish though =(
Removed everthing and built a dolly out of a costco cart. no overspray here.
except in the interior
It was painted at H&H autobody in oakland,CA where most of the bat area kandy cars come from.
Killer! dam, took 6 months to fininsh, but it looks pretty good

Another project? Good change though, I didn't know what to expect to see.

I thought the fit was resting on those wheels in the two radiator support pics...
I was thinking bad things about you for a second...

I am very interested in seeing what you can do with a Fit that isn't just the usual bolt ons and wheels/suspension.
