Managed to get a few hours in on the hatch this weekend. No major updates as usual but progress is progress.

Pulled the header that was installed so I can replace with the comptech. Here is a side by side of the two. The primaries extend significantly further on the one being replaced. The comptech is approximately 2" longer.

And the replaced header beside a skunk 2 alpha that was laying around. You can see that the skunk 2 is about 2" shorter than the other, so the comptech would be about 4" longer than a skunk2 alpha

Not a fan of the exposed oem coarse wire grounds, I made a couple new ones from OFC flexible speaker wire.

with the radiator installed. Tons of clearance with the Comptech header. It definitely has less ground clearance but Ill just need to be a bit cautious.

Found out the heater line I got is too short, ordered it off a 99 si but the water valve is off the firewall. Sooo more parts to order for next weekend.

I think i ended up using one stock 92-95 civic line and one 94-00 Integra line for mine. I just ordered cheap ones from O'Reillys and used whatever looked the closest.

Drove 4 hours one way to pick up some black JDM SR3's. Offered $1000 based on the pics the seller posted and description, as they looked to be a 9/10 on condition. Get there, they are a 6/10....pointed out 3-4 things I didnt like in 30 seconds and didnt even make an offer when he said he would work on the price. Told him they werent nice enough for my project, and drove 4 hours back home. Was a waste of a day, but Id rather waste a little gas and time instead of buy something Im not happy with.

9/10 to Craigslist/stancenerds is 6/10 to enthusiasts. I've learned that the hard way. I went to look at some wheels for the TSX years ago that the guy said were mint and one wheel wasn't even round.

Those look good enough for my car. I have had the same GSR leather seats in my car for like 11 years though, so anything at this point is an upgrade. I really want some of those Black with red stitching Buddy Club P1 Limited Edition seats.

thats the thing, they looked NOTHING like that pic. If they looked like that in person I would have grabbed them on the spot.

Id like some ICB buckets but at this point, Im guessing im a little too portly for them

Update since its been a while - my work schedule has changed for the new year. I havent had weekends off to work on the car but I will be off weekends in February and March so hopefully after my vacation at the beginning of Feb we can get things wrapped up.

After installing the Comptech longtube, I was a little weary of the ground clearance on the primaries and didnt want to ruin such a nice and hard to find piece. I decided to start looking for a replacement and the only option I could think of was Toda. I looked for a used one for a couple weeks. They do pop up occasionally but I wasnt able to find anything that panned out. I called up Matt at ICB and ended up buying a brand new one. Im glad that I did, as it is a work of art and is going to look right at home in the bay and make great power. I was just a little excited to unbox it if you couldnt tell by the amount of pics lol

WOW that header is so pretty. I have the PLM Toda Rep and there's a reason it's 1/5 the cost of that. Congrats man, that's a quality piece of header
