Well I bought this hatch for a $1000. It is a 94 completely stock VX. It has a rear Qtr I have to replace and could use a new paint job. I originally bought this for a project to eventually make into a track car. I plan on picking up a spare gsr short block soon to build and sleeving it to handle 500+ whp. FI is in the next year or 2.
As I got it when I bought it... less the Vision corners

I miss my bike... sold after our son was born 4/23/2010 and a close friend was almost killed on his bike Thanksgiving day 2010 by an old lady

This is the other hatch I had at the time but was gang raped by some ricer. Wiring was hacked. It was ruff!!! So I sold it cheap

Got rid of the yellow

Anyway I drove the VX around for a year before it gave out and something burned up on me. Never figured out what happened but never took the time to since this was the perfect excuse to tell the wife that I needed to do my motor swap. I NEEDED IT!!!

I already had planned on looking at complete GSR swap I found on craigslist before coming in town so it worked out perfect. I picked it up two days later.

It was mint. 80k miles, brand new timing belt, water pump, SI engine harness, skunk2 IM all for 1500

I am only in town for a weekend out of the month so it has been a slow process.

I gutted the blue interior for a blk one I picked up in the junkyard

Plasti-Dipped the back panels

Found an arm rest in the junkyard as well that I plasti-dipped. EDM audio console as well off of ebay for cheap

So I started ordering parts.... and more parts.... and hitting up junk yards

I had order this before finding out timing belt had been done already

bought a gsr harness so I could keep my VX harness stock in case I ever wanted to put it back in. edit: 7 months later... Got tired of the damn thing taking up space so the z1 has been parted out and sold to make room for new parts!!!

B-day gift from the wife

Started cleaning the engine bay after I pulled the z1. I thought I was going to paint it Fuji Blue but decided to hold off on that for now

Got the motor in. What a bitch it was doing it solo. That engine bay looks better than the rest of the body does.

I have been a little busy lately with my GS replacing the front suspension. It is my DD so it is priority. Put 45k miles on her last year, almost at the 200k mark and still going strong. 2jzgte coming at 250k.

as well as this project. 600hp (This is my Dad's but I have had my hands in everything design wise)

I installed the WSII rep exhaust last weekend(need to have shortened to fit), my type r throttle cable and bracket, slave cylinder, and got my harness sorted out.

Well I am a little impatient and I have too many projects right now. I had planned on restoring the car entirely and swapping the motor in but with buying a new house and more than likely moving in a month. I needed to get this driveable so I have been steadily busting it out over the past month. I should have it up and running next time I make it back to town. I have just about all the parts I need other than an o2 sensor.
It has been a learning experience and I couldn't do it with out the help I have received on here. I have always been mechanically inclined, raced karts as a teenager and have always been into domestics. I have owned a few hondas over the years but was never into modding them much.

Here is two of my old Hondas. 02 civic and 96 accord. My brothers DC in the garage(that was my first experience rebuilding a Honda motor)

Before...

And after... Fell asleep with cruise set at 90mph. Flipped 12x over 50 yards. My 70lbs. pit bull was in the back seat and we both walked away. There was so much friction that there are holes all over the drivers side from scraping against the asphalt

300 views and 1 feedback. I feel the love!!! I would love to hear ideas and thoughts even though I am pretty set on my path to reach my goals.

I was looking at a NRG engine damper kit and trying to figure out if I can do without the ac bracket mount if I go this route. I plan on replacing the torque mount on the tranny but haven't decided if I want to make my own or just buy a new one.

I am planning on acquiring a second gsr block and sleeving it for a turbo build where I am hoping to reach 500+ hp.

Well optaire stopped by and picked up my old z1 motor this morning. They were some nice people!! After they left, I started tinkering.I spent the afternoon fixing coolant leaks, tightening bolts, putting fenders and bumpers back on.

Oh man this thing is fun.I can't wait to actually get on it. I am taking it easy on a test drive and its breaking the tires in 2nd and 3rd. Its a go cart on 'roids!!! I just took it for a 20 min drive and it's running great. Idle is a little high but easy fix. Just stopped at Phillie's Subs for dinner. I love this place!

Guess I am taking her home tonight, she has beeen in storage for the last 2 months.

For those interested:
PLM hytech replica header has decent clearance. IMO 4"

All pic were taken from the ground.

I got it running but she is till a long ways from being a beauty. I have a lot of body work to do. I still have to put the interior in and find these rattles!!! Everything vibrates in the back.

Thanks. I try to keep it on all fours nowadays

I plan on having this by August and maybe I will have less time restraints and some one who can assist with pictures for a more technical aspect.

Well car put me on the side of the road due to my own stupidity. Had to tighten ground wire by t-stat.

I have to fix leaks from rain on the passenger side. Been neglecting that once since its been in the garage.

I am starting to wonder if it is a hatch thing but it sounds like my shocks are clanking around every time I hit a bump or a ruff road. It sounds like it comes from the back shock towers of the rear seat belt mounts. The old yellow civic I had did the same thing but I would of sworn it was because of blown shocks and cut springs.

300+ miles and still going strong. Got the exhaust welded up so it sound a million times better!!! I am having a blast in this little thing and I am getting 32.5 mpg!!!

I am going to try to take care of my leak in the firewall and hopefully put the interior back in. I got to get a radio too!!!

I just took my wife for a spin and she had enough by 80!!!

I have narrowed it down to these two wheels. These toothpicks I am on are killing me.
I am pretty set on a 15x8 +35.

I am kinda thinking the J speed's just because I could run the vx rims in the back and it not look to out of place.
