Its starting to seem like that haha. The first accident where I cracked the front bumper was because stupid CalTrans left a cone in the middle of the freeway and the car swerved infront of me at the last minute and I couldnt avoid the cone. This one the dude made an illegal u turn but I didnt want it to turn on me and my insurance go up. Im pissed because the car was painted in the summer of 2010 and its already messed up again. Atleast I have the front bumper, I will post pics later this week.

aaahh fender and bumper are easy fix. is it just striaght black or does it have flake or pearl in it. if its just striaght black you dont have to worry about blending the paint on the door. you can just paint the fender and it will match.

set of sw388's would look amazing on this car.

^^It has a pearl in it. One shop over here quoted me for 800 for the entire front clip and two mirrors, the other shop wanted 1250. I will have it painted towards summer, I'm debating between those two shops.

I like the Spoons but I'm not a fan of black on black anymore. I was looking into getting a set of bronze RE30s over the summer but now that this has happened I don't think I will have the funds for those. The engine must go in this summer and it will need to be tuned as well.

CTR power adjust and power folding mirrors. Decided to upgrade since the one needed replacement anyways from the accident.

^^ Yeah it's in great shape. I really want to paint everything and get the car looking good right now but I need to finish the motor first.

Close up pic of my Advan wheels since I have none on here. After I get the motor installed and front end fixed I'm looking into getting some new wheels. I'm debating between remaining 4 lug and getting a set of Volk RE30 in bronze or converting to 5 lug and getting a set of Volk CE28 in bronze. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Installed the water pipe and thermostat. Decided to keep the OBD1 water pipe since I am going to delete the heater hoses.

OEM EK9 fenders. I really wanted a set of OEM fenders due to poor fitment with aftermarket JDM fenders. Only thing is, these have some dents and I want good fitment and perfection. Any of you guys have experience with PasswordJDM fenders? I'm really skeptical on using aftermarket fenders on this car. Want to make sure the exterior is flawless.

You do know that you cant see **** with those mirrors, right?

It's a shame cause I wont drive an EK without them. LOL.

That has been my experience with right hand drive mirrors also

I would think that for these mirrors though, you could just call up any Acura dealer in Canada, and just order a new pair of mirror glass for an EL. They are LHD and should angle properly

I know. Motor will go in this summer forsure. I plan on just getting the engine running and then PnP another GSR head with supertech valves, valvetrain and Toda cams. I just need to get this engine running and tuned by this summer. I think I'm going to have Casey break it in on the dyno.

Will have an update this weekend somewhat related to the engine.

ARP head studs came in earlier this week. Placed an order online for the rest of the parts that I need to finish assembling the motor including, headgasket, valve seals, timing belt and misc bolts. Parts should arrive early in the week.

Got started on removing the valve seals. Note that valve spring compressor did not even almost work but I removed the retainers and keepers with a socket and mallet.

Head surface looks very smooth still so I will not need resurfacing. Now that I really think about it though I'm not sure that I want to reinstall the head with no valve job. So I have made a change of plans. I am going to port and polish the head along with a 3 angle valve job. Just debating how much I want to upgrade the valve train. Looking into putting Supertech springs, retainers and possibly Supertech high compression valves. I would like to bump compression a little higher for Toda Spec B cams or Skunk2 Tuner2s.
