Re: 95 DX Coupe slow daily
So decided on a place to mount the under hood fuse box. Since this dash doesnt have an airbag I have a little extra space. Will just have to open glove box and rotate the little tabs to drop the glove box door to access the fuse box.. Also got tired of being limited to how car down I could go with the skunk2 and kyb setup with the spring perch in the way so I cut off the extra metal. Aaaaand matched my ITR front sway bar to body color..

are you keeping those skunk2 springs? if you want to get something more beefy, you could order coil-over springs from summit. 7" high, 2.5" inner diameter and they have a bunch of spring rates.

Re: 95 DX Coupe slow daily
So another small update... found some uncut trunk liner and dyed it charcoal to hide some discoloration. Came out good imo.. Threw the seats in to give me some space to clean up my garage a little... And spent a few hours cleaning up the front knuckles so I wouldnt be putting any dirty parts on when the time comes.. Puzzle for grown ups... haha

Re: 95 DX Coupe slow daily
Well, surely yall know I'm not going to be stickin the engine in without it getting a good cleaning.... So I started on getting it as clean as the rest of the project. Debating whether or not I should do an aftermarket intake manifold... I ordered a 1320 rmf style header for it, Skunk2 valve seals since mine were leaking a little, skunk2 thermal intake manifold gasket, gates timing belt kit and some new hardware. I'll be plumbing up my old Sniper nitrous kit while trying to keep it as hidden as possible. Nothing too big, just a 75 wet shot.
So looking for yalls input on valve covers.... do you like the blue metallic or the oem black wrinkle finish better? I'm torn.. lol
oh n btw... the block, head, n trans have no paint, thats just aluminum after a ton of work haha

Re: 95 DX Coupe slow daily
Figured I'd share the beater that is allowing me to do what I'm doing to the coupe.... It's a 93 Civic DX sedan EG8. I picked it up for $400 because the po said it had popped a timing belt and he bought a hatch. Body is a little rough but I was going to throw a timing belt kit on it and let my mom drive around in it since her volvo's wastegate vacuum line rotted and it received ALL THE BOOST and causing engine problems. When I pulled the timing cover off, the belt was intact and in really good shape.. soooo I had to figure out what went wrong. After a few days I figured out that it had broken the flex plate (yes its an autotragic as it was going to be driven by my mom who cant drive a manual to save her life) so when I went to start the car, it would spin the converter but not the crankshaft. I had never seen that on a honda before but yea... had one laying around so I changed it and boom.. great running $400 car. WINNING. haha. So I did a few things to make it not so plain looking... here's the pics starting when I first picked it up to where it sits today. As you can see it was very stock.. still is, just a few small things added like LS mesh wheels, some used drop springs on kyb struts, oem lip, Auxbeam led headlight bulbs etc... you like?

Re: 95 DX Coupe slow daily
Worked on my "cold air intake" today. I'll be using the factory air box that i smoothed out the inside of and a smooth 3" aluminum tube from that to the throttle body. I ordered a Skunk2 pro series intake manifold thermal intake gasket and throttle body and a 1320 RMF style header. Not sure if I'll see any gains but we will see. Also been continuing cleaning the engine...
