i have a b18a1 with wiseco 12:1 high comp pistons.
i plan on putting a b16 head that i have on it.
will there be a difference in the valve relief size in the piston and will the b16 valves hit?
i looked around but couldn't find anything.
if they do have an issue can i put gsr pistons in it?
i have them on hand, and no im not buying ctr pistons.
if i buy new pistons i'll just boost it instead.

It depends on what those pistons were built for. Were they meant for a VTEC motor or non-VTEC? If it's non, I would check with the manufacturer to see what they say.

I have JDM ITR pistons in my ls/vtec B18B1 bottom end. The piston to valve clearance is good, but the neck of the pistons had to be shaved down a lil bit because they were hitting the rod when moving.

yea. i have eagle rods and wiseco pistons for an ls in an ls bottom end. so the bottom end will have no issues. just wonderin about that valve relief being big enough for the b16 valves. thanks.

just got off the phone with wiseco, they said they cut their pistons for oversized valves. so im pretty sure the valve relief will not be an issue. just going to clay the head to check clearance but im sure all is good. im not going to run a high lift cam yet so. thanks for the input and hope this can help others out if needed.

the reliefs should be fine. remember the b16 head will bump up your compression ratio though.
