It would be nice to be able to have repeatable tie down strap tensions. A plus that a DynaPack has over a DynoJet.

i only have access to a Dynojet. Im not paying someone $150 hr to do a header test on a dynapack when i have full access and a hookup on a dynojet.

Unless the manufacturers will send me $100 each to my paypal

ok even though we weren't listed, were too busy to offer up a header at the moment as muhc as i would love us too

I would like to see fully logged EGT for each 4 port and 02 readings at the collector outlet for each header.

Questions: are these just bolt on and go run 3 passes and thats it ? will each header be tuned? if so by who? is there a time limit for tuning?

Just throwing somethings out there hoping to see a good test with a lot of conclusive data!

Don't know how many would want holes drilled into their primaries for EGTs, although I have a header set up like that.

Mike has told me that each header will be fully tuned by himself and Johnzm, that's why they have alloted 2 days for testing.

I'd send you $100 Mike, wouldn't be the first time I had to pay for testing.

Mike, Are you positive that testing will be completed by the 17th of July? I ask because that 4-1 of mine is going to Jonathon Meris for his B20 that he is running in his USTCC Civic for the San Jose street race at the end of July and they will need to do some tuning with it before the race.

Thats true dave, however in my opinion the more data the better. Good testing is hard to fnd im sure you are aware of that. I would like to put somehting together in the future of a motor where evryone could bring a completely adjustable header and tune it to it's maximum potential etc. Would be a really cool test

-casey Who thinks he should probably put the header together that he has been looking at doing for so long, collectors are getting dusty (tri-Y for B series very similar engine to what is being used)

^^^ Yes sir id love to have you guys entered. I have ADD and forget , there are so many companies out there now adays.

Our first test was bolt on an run for th emost part. we got the a/f ratios all the same, we logged water temp, oil temp, and air temp.

This one we will be tuning each header to waht it wants. IE instead of putting all the headers at 13:1, we will see where each header wants to make the most power. IE in our first test the DTR actually made power lean as opposed to rich. but we used his 13:1 a/f plot since thats what we used for all the headers.

SCTTYDB411 will be doing the tuning

as far as the EGTs go, i would love to do it, but this is a painstaking process that will take a lot of time, and i dont know if the header manufacturers will want holes in their headers, as they will need to sell them or have them sent back if they belong to a customer already. I prefer i get theheaders sent to me i can keep them do do testing later on such as EGT. Sparks has agreed to let us keep a header as wel as some other guys.

on a side note, were waiting on the sparks header to arrive, so that we can dyno test it on the original setup, before disassembly...

its up to the manufacturers to send me the header they want to send me. I will test whats here in my hands. i am giving them roughly a month and a half to get product made if they have to , and ample time to get me something if they want tested.

I know these guys are BUSY, so the more time they have the better. plus they dont have ot wait til the last minute and pay overnight shipping that cost an arm and a leg

In this case, I dont think you will be including production headers like Mugen, Toda, Spoon..etc in the test right?

No what im saying is, its up to THEM to send me a header they want tested. If there is demand to see a TODA header tested, then il lsee if i can find one. I know someone locally has one. but it must be in PERFECT condition with no dents or dings to keep the test accurate.

I would be interested to see how the Toda header stacks up.
