piston to wall and the alloys
for the past day or so i've been scratching my head about where to set up the next motor a build. after going just a hair too loose with my b18c i decided to look up the alloy expansion properties. this is seriously a helpful formula.

EXAMPLE: When measured at room temperature, a 4 inch diameter
piston made from 4032 measures 4.000”. If the same piston were
measured at 375º, the piston would measure 4.0034”.
EXAMPLE: When measured at room temperature, a 4 inch diameter
piston made from 2618 measures 4.000”. If the same piston were
measured at 375º, the piston would measure 4.004”.
the pdf file has the whole break down

Re: piston to wall and the alloys
formulae are only helpful if the right person is measuring...good page though hopefully some of the honda racers on here will learn how to measure these specs one day to stop making how much compression will i have with these pistons and .xxx" shaved off my head threads...
