Default Your thoughts on these headers??

I have searched and not really come up with anything.I havent really heard of anyone using these headers.

I am not trying to build a race car or anything.. just a good all around daily driver.

the edelbrock is a very good header, especially with a 2.5 inch collector mod

If I was going to use a 2.5 inch collector I would get a JDM ITR 4-1 header. I dont have a 2.5" converter or exhaust, the exhaust is 2.36" If the 2.5" converter would bolt up to the 2.36" exhaust I might consider getting that.

What sort of budget have you set for the header?

As far as the 2.5" collector is concerned, a custom 2.5" cat will bolt up between the header and your current exhaust without any problem.

th stock edelbrock header isnt 2.5 inches, i believe it is 2inch or 2.25 and will bolt up no problem, i was talking about cutting the old collector off and welding a 2.5 inch collector on, as it gives you even more power. I still have a stainless edelbrock header sitting in my garage, left over from my upgrade to an arn header.

I have $700 but I dont really want to spend that much on a header. I just want something better than the stock header for a daily driver.

That is good. I might get the JDM ITR 4-1 and a custom cat, I have already found one: http://www.prostreetonline.com...ensor/

If I get a 4-1 header will I lose lowend power? I dont want that to happen since its a daily driver.

If I did that I would just go with a header that already had a 2.5" collector. I just did not want to have to get a new converter.

The edelbrock will make better power and much better torque.

I want a header where I wont have to weld the collector flange on. I dont have a welder that will weld stainless steel.

I have talked to a few who work at exhaust shops and they said I would not need a 2.5" collector flange if I have a 2.5 inch cat. They said all that needs to be done is to weld flanges onto the converter that will bolt up to the header and exahaust.

the exhaust doesnt have to go down to a smaller pipe, which creates more restrection. with a bigger collector there is less restriction.... i have a megan, and i like it for the price. but i ve heard nothing but good things about the comptech..
