Default over revved my engine, now i think i have rod knock

car: 88 crx si with d16a6 and chipped p28 with a phearable.net chip

i dont have time to pull the pan or anything, i leave for 3 weeks in about 5hours.. but heres what happened

upgraded to obd1 last night. got the car running fine. drove a few miles on the highway, tested out the higher redline. revved the car to aboru 7300 rpm, then shifted.. no problems. pulled the plugs, they looked fine. on the drive home.. it got bad. loud *** noise, let off the gas and the engine just dies... would struggle to start and then idle like ****. rev it up and let off the gas and it would die.

its a loud knocking sound, but it sounds more like its coming from the head than lower in the block.

compression test: 165 150 165 175

pulled plugs one at a time, no change in sound.

any ideas?

stock d16a6 (unless the springs were REALLY old) shouldn't start floating valves until like 8800 rpm---valves are so small and light.
