New valve guides now valve seals won't fit
I just picked up my gsr head from the machine shop (resurface, valve job, guides) went by Honda for OEM valve stem seals. Today I go to put the thing together and I can't get the valve seal on its almost like the new bronze guides are just slightly to big. I butchered up two or three of the seals in the process. I've installed valve seals before and didn't have any trouble. Any insight would be great or maybe I just went full retard on this one???? Im gonna call the machine shop Monday to find out what brand guides they used.

That's kinda what I'm thinking the part# on the bags are right but both bags had been opened and stapled back shut.

the seal is supposed to be ever so slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the guide so that it has to stretch a little to pinch onto the guide and create a seal.
I use metal-clad seals on all my motors, and they literally have to be hammered onto the guide with a socket. even though the size difference is very very small, its simply because of how still the seals are that I use that they need to be forced on, they'll never go on by hand.
you probably have the wrong seals. because if they were the right seals, they would fit oem guides fine. and if the guides were replaced, they would have needed to be the same size as oem guides, otherwise the machine shop would have needed to bore out the guide hole which would get fairly pricey to do and is usually a big no-no and they should know better.
