What do you mean by 'best'?

The most power will be made with a 3" pipe and canister type muffler.

The quietest will be a 2.25-2.5" pipe with a baffled muffler.

How many cylinder heads do you have?

I would do a 3" system. They can be made just as quiet as a 2.5" system. Exhaust options that come to mind are Skunk 2, K Tellar, Thermal(would not recommend), or you could simply just go to your local exhaust shop and have them use a 22-24" resonator with a Magnaflow or Vibrant muffler.

Header wise, Skunk 2 Alpha, one of the PLM manifolds, Toda, SMSP, Meyers....you can spend almost as much as you want to on a header.

A nice setup in my opinion would be the S2 Alpha header into Skunk's 3" exhaust. Spiral wound CAT to match and I think it would sound really good.

That's what I run except my exhaust is only 70mm.... is there a full 3" I'm not aware of, or is the 70mm one the one you meant?

they now have a 76mm system

I'm thinking about running a 3" dual res w/ MF metallic spun cat through a twin loop on my setup (12:1 B20V). Should stay pretty mellow and let the ponies flow still.

Yeah the "RR" system is the one I am talking about. http://store.skunk2.com/exhaust-tuni...-exhausts.html I don't know if it's a true 3", but if I were a 2 liter and wanted a nice bolt-on exhaust, this is the one I would go with.
