Default LS/VTEC OIL LEAK.

so i have a LS/VTEC setup and i just got my headgasket changed, got cometic headgasket and arp stud's but it still seem to be leaking oil. its only leaking on the corner where the vtec solenoid is. anyone have any idea why? and it only leaks when i gave the car gas.

i was told it could be because i used a gsr headgasket instead of a ls headgasket, does that matter or no? please help me out.

Check the hex head screws that hold the rocker shafts in place, I knew a guy that did three head gaskets before figuring out that it was the rocker shaft bolts leaking.

i'm sure the bolts where done right. i'm asking about the headgasket question mainly, if a gsr headgasket on a lsvtec setup would cause some oil leakage instead of using a ls headgasket.

well i found out today the headgasket that was changed was a cometic lsvtec headgasket. so i have no idea what the problem could be. only that it could be a wrapped block.

Did you check to see if it was leaking from the cam cover or the vtec solenoid?

its not leaking from the vtec, its leaking from where the head meets the block.

the leak is kinda above the block stamp. i'm sure its in between my block and my head. dowel pins are around the studs and their fine. put vtec dowel pins. on my arp studs.

i'll try taking a picture or making a video later. if it is that my block is wrapped i'm just gonna take the head and find a gsr block. and just have a gsr. hehe.

I think I've got that same leak. Is it a big leak or just a small one?

i've seen that corner leak on ls vtec's a few times. how many miles since the gasket? if not many, give it more time. it may just need to seal up.

Is that the corner where the fitting has to be tapped, screwed and sealed in the head?

if so, thats what is leaking? i just can't remember if that is the corner or not. My head is at the shop.

seal up?? i never heard of that before. once the head gasket is crushed then there goes your seal right there.

double check your vtec solenoid and other seals around there
