H22 Question
I have a friend that is having issues with his H22. He has it in a 93 civic hatch. Heres the mods, Skunk2 stage 2 camshafts and cam gears, yup thats all.
Now heres the problem, its a track car, scca, road racing, autoxing or whatever, hes gone through like 4 tensioners. the tensions keep going loose and they keep getting slack in the timing belt. is there anyhing special going on here that i dont know about? maybe he isnt tensioning it right, hes using OEM honda tensioners, i have no clue, any input from the h22 guys? any help is appreciated

Re: H22 Question (VtecKiDD)
the oem tensioner sux ***. go to honda, get a parts print out of the h23 timing assembly, and order all the parts forthe timing assembly in the diagram. do that conversion and you will have no problems. ive been revving my H to 9200 at the track and never had the belt come loose, skip, or flap... if you do a search on the h23 tensioner conversion, you might get a parts list and just be able to order it that way... good luck.
