B16 ECU on GSR Swap
Car is a 99 Civic LX.
Ok so Not sure how to go about this. I have a GSR motor but b16 ecu. Already have a JG Victor X Manifold on it so will the b16 ecu work? or should i get a OBD2B to OBD2A Jumper and use the GSR ECU. Or should I use the b16 ECU for emission and run a OBD2 to OBD1 jumper and use an OBD1 p72?
Update: Issue is. 2000 GSR ECU has immobilizer. dont have the key chip or the key ring.

Re: B16 ECU on GSR Swap
eventually you will want to have it tuned. go to phearable.net and get an obd2b to obd1 jumper and a chipped p28. my em1 with gsr swap pulled hard with the p2t ecu, but i wanted it tuned so i got the p28

OK yea that was the route i was planning on going. Do you use your p2t for smog? or do you not have emission control where you are?

Re: B16 ECU on GSR Swap
Get your ecu chipped and flashed with a gsr base-map. The b16 with its smaller displacement has a leaner fuel map because it needs less fuel than a gsr. If you run a b16 base-map on a gsr, you could potentially lean the engine out and burn it up.
