101 octane tune...
1999 JDM B18C-R rebuilt
-3 angle valve job
-supertech valve springs
-skunk2 retainers
-RM M22X cams
-skunk2 cam gears
-11:1 stock jdm ITR pistons oversized
-balanced rods
-balanced pistons
-balanced crank
-new oil pump/timing bet/tensioner/water pump/seals/bearings/etc
-1998 JDM ITR transmission
-competition stage 1 clutch balanced
-competition flywheel balanced
My motor is currently at the shop getting some stuff adjusted, but I'm just curious to know If I tune my car with 101 octane and have my timing advanced.. would my car make more power then expected with my current setup? My motor was eating a lot of oil so I just put $ together and re-built the bottom end and built the head. My car is actually going to always be using 101 octane If I tune it.

On your previous thread you did mention you're a full time student and can't afford buying oil at the mean time. But if you can afford 101 octane which cost close to $8.00 gallon here in SO-CAL then you can have your tuner advance your timing more.

why not using the 110 octane to run. you make more power and be faster on the street or the track. but the 101 octane good but 110 is better. the motor can hold that power of the octane

higher octane doesnt always mean more power. He is running a good street compression of 11:1. What he can do with 110 is likely close to what he can do with 93 octane.
it all boils down to dyno testing.

yea i see no beneficial gains on 101 octane or anything higher than 93 for u. im running 12.5 with my timing advanced quite a bit and im on 93 with no issues...

You will not likely pick up a bunch of power with a tune on race gas. Even with 91, I'm sure you are close to 30deg timing at peak torque. Most Honda motors stop producing power after 36-38deg BTDC.
With that said, some Rebel gas stations have both 91 and 100 at the pump. Throw in 2 gallons of 100 and the rest 91. 100 pump was $5.75/gal in early October.
Or run E85, when I was down there a couple weeks ago, I saw a few stations that sold it. If you get a good ~83% ethanol batch, your effective knock resistance is equal to about 107 octane. Another plus is that it is government subsidized, so Uncle Sam is matching your first dollar or so, which is why E85 is in the $2.75/gal range.
